Create- Photographic course for those who want to enter the world of competitive or editorial hairdressing or who want to promote yourself or your business using your own imagery and be at the forefront of creativity.

Salon Director and acclaimed photographer Daisy Johnson leads and directs this unique experience.

All courses are conducted with live models for both demonstrations and hands on workshops
giving you the opportunity to practice the JLifeStylist consultation first hand with support and to
use the techniques learnt on live models. Our teacher student ratio is 6 to 1 enabling you to fully
embrace the JLifeStyle course.

Follow our steps and join the HairLifeStylist advancement progam, challenge yourself to complete all three courses (just one every six months!!) and see your creativity, motivation and success grow!!

 

Step 1 - Hair – JLife Beginnings .
Suitable for salon professionals and newly qualified

• Learn JLife’s philosophy and how to use the unique JLife Consultation twinned with high quality foundation cutting, teaching you how to combine techniques to create a variety of looks.
• The course covers the fundamentals of hairdressing: one length, graduation, layers.
• Communication and service skills are covered helping you to maximise client retention and grow your earnings

Step 2 - Life
Advanced course suitable for stylists with five years experience or graduates of Step 1 - Hair

• Starts with the principles of the unique JLife consultation and moves quickly focusing on building, creating and managing your customer base.
• Learn new season cutting and coloring based on contemporary fashion and interpreted for the life your customer leads.
• Optimise the current fashion looks for the life you lead.
• Re-centre the stylist within you.
• Maximise client retention and spend
• A must for the committed stylist looking for continued motivation and inspiration to give consistent client satisfaction

Step 3 - Lead - Be ahead of the game

• With our unique insight into the exciting  catwalk world of clothing fashion, share in Andrew Jose’s vision of future hair trends linked to the major fashion houses
• Learn future fashion interpretations in tune with the Designer launches. 
• Today’s leaders for the life you lead- we offer seasonal curriculum changes to keep you ahead of the game in fashion trends.
• The JLife Lead course will teach the latest cutting and styling techniques for these looks providing you with three interpretations for each key look for all your clients needs.
• Summer Collections will be offered from January to May, Winter Collections from June to September

Create - 3 Day Portfolio Course for Creative and Salon Professionals

Enter the world of Editorial Hair! For all stylists who wish to start a portfolio, enter competitions or to explore this exciting dynamic side to our industry to promote you or your salon - Where runway fashion houses meet creative hair stylists.

The course covers planning, clothes, makeup, storyboard and hands on styling. You will be guided by our Salon director and in house acclaimed photographer Daisy Johnson. At the end of your three days you have produced your own photographic collection, which will be given to you on disk.

Day 1
• World fashion review/ new collection.
• Demonstration cutting and colouring.
• Workshop with live models

Day 2
• Hair trend collection.
• Demonstration cutting and colouring.
• Photographic image making.
• Styling hair for photographic shoots.
• Workshops with live models.

Day 3
• Photo shoot with full demonstration of styling, make up and clothing using professional models.
• Students go behind the camera whilst working in groups of three on professional models with make up artist and stylist to help.
• End of day photo and presentation of diploma.

Please note that your CD of Style will be sent by mail no later than three days after the course.
