Jeph Wright Bio

With his own unique and personal style, he has given many people a new outlook on what it means to be a hair-stylist. Jeph can take a vision and bring it to life by capturing the beauty of each individual he works with. Most importantly, it is a job that encompasses staying true to yourself as well as your clients.

Approaching ten years of experience in hair styling and design, Jeph has traveled the globe training with and learning from some of the world’s finest hair designers such as Bob Racine, Philip Willson, Angelo Labriollo and Paul Yacomine.

Throughout 2007-2008 Jeph worked closely with Kemon as the National Head Coach and North American Creative Director. He spent two years between Europe and North America where he developed new and innovative ideas and techniques that have become a staple in his arsenal of talent.

Jeph takes pride in his work and his workspace.  In 2009, he opened Black the Salon in Royal Oak, MI.  Royal Oak is known for it’s artistic style, boutiques, hair salons and dining.  Black the Salon holds a strong presence in the community known for the best in putting on and assisting in fashion shows.  His salon is dedicated to their devotion to total customer care. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for this business have now allowed his dream to finally become his reality.

Most recently in 2010 Jeph is making extreme strides in the beauty industry.  Named one of the ‘Top Stylists Nationwide’ in Allure Magazine’s October Issue.  His talents and award-winning salon were featured in Beauty Entertainment Magazine where he fawns over JLife products being natural and great for all hair types.

Jeph’s most recent title is one of his favorites, Inspiration Director for JLife Haircare.  In October, he introduced JLife at the INSalon 2010 Convention in Minneapolis, MN. He knows that JLife’s dedication to the environment and beauty is the kind of product he can get behind.  He appreciates simplicity and sophistication.

Jeph is not your average hair-dresser. Aside from his Dreadlocks and tattoos, he has a bachelor’s degree in plastics engineering technology and takes pride in building custom motorcycles.

Being a hair-stylist gives him the opportunity to express his imagination and creativity. Being an engineer, allows him to do this with extreme precision.
